Come and work with us! We are looking for enthusiastic, kind forest school facilitators who love to be with children outdoors. You love the natural world and creating community with children. Those who apply should be comfortable working in a collaborative manner with children to co-create learning opportunities. If there are no ongoing positions posted, we still welcome applications as we often have opportunities for substitute teachers and camp leaders.

FACILITATORS & SUBSTITUTES

Do you love nature, play, and working with children? Join the Fresh Air Learning team as a substitute facilitator or ongoing facilitator for preschool-aged children and elementary school-aged children in North Shore and Vancouver parks.

We are seeking compassionate, kind, and child-centered educators with experience outdoors and experience working with diverse groups of young children to foster their development in a play-based outdoor learning environment. 

Shifts vary from half-day to full day. Applicants will be interviewed on a rolling basis.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Fresh Air Learning is a play-based outdoor learning organization that offers programs for children ages 2-12. We are seeking volunteers for our preschool-age and elementary-age programs for the fall, winter, and spring seasons.

Our outdoor programs run in North Vancouver and Vancouver - Lynn Canyon Park, the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve, Everett Crowley Park, and Jericho Beach Park. You will play and learn outdoors along with the children, supporting social connections, safety, and outdoor activities.

​

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in helping out for at least one full term, fall, winter, or spring. Volunteers can assist from 10-12,l 9:30-12:00, or 9:30-2:30.

 

Volunteers are welcome to attend our staff trainings throughout the year. They will also receive mentorship from their class leader in outdoor and conflict-resolution skills.
